What's included in your report
Six searches, one report, one flat $29.95. Nothing below is an add-on or an upsell.
National criminal database search
The broad first pass across hundreds of millions of records. People move, and they rarely volunteer the places they'd rather you didn't check. A national search gives the widest possible coverage.
SSN address trace
We trace addresses tied to the subject's Social Security number to build a real residence history, rather than trusting whatever locations we were handed.
County searches of every county of residence
County courthouses are the system of record for criminal charges. We search every county the address trace surfaces, not only the current one.
Manual review by an experienced researcher
A person reads the results and works through the gray-area records: partial matches, missing dispositions, name variations. Automated services skip this step entirely.
Sex offender registry check
National sex offender registry sources, searched and matched against the subject's identifiers and known addresses.
Department of Corrections records
State DOC records covering incarceration history, which routinely surface cases that never made it into a commercial database.
Side by side
How that compares to an instant check
Most services at this price point sell you the first row of this table and stop there.
| Category | Instant database check | Reliable Checks |
|---|---|---|
| Source coverage | A single commercial database, refreshed on the vendor's schedule | National database, plus county courthouse searches of every county of residence |
| What the records contain | In roughly half of states, incarceration records only, with no charges or pending trials | Charges, pending trials, and dispositions, including not-guilty verdicts |
| Dispositions | Frequently missing, leaving you unable to tell how a case ended | Pulled at the county level where the disposition actually lives |
| Address history | Whatever address you supplied | SSN address trace to find where the subject has actually lived |
| Human review | None. You get the raw match list | Gray-area records are reviewed by hand before the report goes out |
| Registry and corrections data | Usually sold as a separate add-on | Sex offender registry and Department of Corrections included |

What this report is not
Our reports are intended for personal knowledge and general due diligence. They are not consumer reports under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and they may not be used to make decisions about employment, credit, insurance, housing, education, licensing, or any other FCRA-regulated purpose.
If you need to screen a job applicant or a tenant, the law requires a consumer reporting agency and a process that includes applicant consent and adverse-action notices. We are not that, and we will not pretend otherwise to make a sale.
